  • Before using our products for the first time, please read the label regarding composition and care. This information is also provided on the paper insert.
  • Always wash all nappies at 60°C using baby or standard washing powder or gel. We do not recommend eco-friendly washing powders – they may not clean the nappies thoroughly enough.
  • Before washing the nappies, fasten the Velcro strips to their counterparts (for Velcro-fastening models) to prevent damage and tearing of the fabric.
  • Use liners – this will help you avoid stains on the nappies that cannot be washed out.
  • Carefully unfasten the press studs by placing your fingers right next to them as you unfasten them; otherwise, there is a risk of tearing out the press studs or tearing the fabric around them. Claims cannot be made for this kind of mechanical damage.
  • From time to time, run the washing machine on an empty cycle at 90°C, using vinegar instead of washing powder.
  • If necessary, add a suitable disinfectant to the main wash cycle and then rinse the laundry thoroughly.
  • Praní plenek Petit Lulu
  • Do not use harsh detergents or bleaches. Using these weakens the fibres, thereby shortening the lifespan of the material and the colours.
  • We do not recommend using soap flakes due to the risk of residue building up in the nappy material.
  • Never use fabric softener! Using fabric conditioner reduces the natural properties of the material (absorbency and breathability); it simply coats the fibres and prevents the fabric from breathing.
  • Never dry nappies on a hot heater. Drying on a heater causes the nappies to become coarse and stiff and damages the elastic.
  • Do not iron the nappies.
  • Sušení po přebalování
  • Always store used nappies in a dry, well-sealed bucket with a lid. However, do not keep them for more than 2–3 days. If a nappy is very wet (e.g. a night-time nappy), it is advisable to rinse it in the sink and, once wrung out, place it in the bucket – this will remove the ammonia from the urine. Keep the bucket clean.
  • Do not overfill the washing machine. It is important that the nappies are rinsed thoroughly to remove all traces of ammonia. If the nappies are not washed thoroughly, they will start to smell, and the ammonia will gradually damage the natural fibres.
  • You can leave the insert fastened inside the SIO nappy.
  • The amount of washing powder or gel to use depends on the water hardness. It is essential to follow the manufacturer’s dosage instructions. With loose washing powder, using a higher dose may cause the Velcro fastenings and fibres to become clogged.
  • When using a tumble dryer, always follow the symbol shown on the label of each product – for most Petit Lulu products, the label features a single dot symbol. (This symbol means – MAY BE DRIED in a tumble DRYER at a LOWER drying temperature). We generally do not recommend using a tumble dryer, as it reduces the nappies’ lifespan; excessively high temperatures can cause damage and tearing to the outer material of the nappies, loosening of the elastic bands and fading of the press studs.
  • The ideal method is to air-dry the nappies. Hang the nappies by the ‘top’ of the nappy to prevent them from twisting. For SIO nappies, we recommend unfastening the press studs; this will help them dry more quickly.
  • Praní a péče o plenky
  • Store them with the other nappies in a nappy bin.
  • Nappy covers and pull-ups do not need to be washed after every use. If they are not soiled, simply air them out and reuse them. For hygiene reasons, we recommend washing the outer pants at least once a week.
  • Spin at a maximum of 800 rpm.
  • No PUL products should be placed on heater or in a tumble dryer. This would damage their waterproof layer and the elastic.
  • PUL nappies dry quickly; simply hang them loosely on a drying rack to dry.
